Event Description/Details

Managing Project Risks: A Practical Approach

Risks are a fact of life. We deal with them on a daily basis, and we instinctively employ strategies to manage them appropriately. Uncertainties are inherent in every project, and we need to apply a structured approach to effectively manage risks to ensure projects success.

A Project Manager manages each of the Project Management 9 knowledge areas, but project risks stand out. In addition to being one of the knowledge areas, risks are a component of each of the other areas as well.

How do we identify risks, which risks do we need to manage how do we rank risks who do we get involved in the process how do we transition form qualitative Risk Management into quantitative Risk-Management are some of the questions that will be addressed in this presentation.
