Event Description/Details
| The only certain thing you can say about projects is that almost nothing is certain. Managing a project well requires the ability to manage uncertainty. The problem is that uncertainty, by its nature, is unpredictable. Murphy's Law says that whatever can go wrong, will. What it doesn't say is that whenever you are fully prepared for Murphy, he probably won't strike. Critical Chain project management takes a good hard look at how we manage uncertainty, the safety we build in to our estimates to protect against Murphy and how we waste that safety. Then we will look into an approach that offers some help of overcoming this problem and managing the uncertainty effectively. Be certain about one thing, if you come to this meeting you will come away with several good ideas for your company and for managing your projects. To register for PMI-CTT's September dinner meeting, please email the Director of Events at events@pmi-ctt.org |
