New Format January Dinner Meeting
Friday Feb 1st, 2008Event Description/Details
| We are planning a Cracker Barrel theme for our Tuesday January 15, 2008 dinner meeting. In case the Cracker Barrel term is new to you here is a brief explanation. Back in the old days, crackers were shipped in barrels to country stores. When the barrels were empty they certainly were not just thrown out. Instead, they were used as tables to hold checker boards or, as we say, to hold court. Much like modern day water coolers or coffee machines. The format for the evening will be round table facilitated discussions on a variety of PM topics. We are planning 8 different topics for the evening. Each facilitated discussion will take 15 to 20 minutes with 6 to 8 attendees at a table. When the time is up, attendees will rotate to a different table and topic where a facilitator will hold court and oversee the discussion from group to group. Instead of a sit-down meal, we will be offering a variety of hors d oeuvres and beverages. The cost for the dinner will remain at $39. for members and $44. for non-members. An invitation, via Cvent, will be distributed by December 14. Questions regarding the dinner meeting can be directed to: events@pmi-ctt.org |
